Saturday, May 2  
9:00   Areaopen to the public.  
AllDay:  Activities and demonstrations atvarious locations in and about the camps and Paxton House.
10:00  Programin the Pavilion – “Medical care for the soldiers”. Dr. Hunter McGuire and Capt.Sally Tompkins discuss the care they provide both in the field and in thehospital in Richmond.
11:00   Programin pavilion – “Female education in the south”.


During the Muster on the Maury people will get hungry and there are several options availably to rectify that condition. There are a number of restaurants in Buena Vista within a mile or so of Glen Maury Park. A list will be available at the event. In addition there will be two vendors onsite. Mr. D;s will have a full range of foods (burgers, DDQ, fries, chicken, etc) while Hillbilly Kettle Korn has pop corn, drinks, and ice cream and frozen treats. Re-enactors, living historians, and demonstrators (sorry, but not spectators) will be provided with dinner Saturday evening, an old fashioned hot dog roast.


Directions to Buena Vista and Glen Maury Park


(1) From Staunton, Harrisonburg, and points north take Interstate 81 south.

(2) From Washington DC area take Interstate 66 west to Interstate 81 south

(3) From Chancellorsville, Richmond, and points east take Interstate 64 west to Interstate 81 south

(4) From Covington, Lewisburg, and points west take Interstate 64 east to Interstate 81 south

(5) From Roanoke and points south take Interstate 81 north


(1-5) From Interstate 81 take exit 188A, Route 60 east, toward Buena Vista
